Chandra Shekhar Azad


Chandra Shekhar Azad son of Shri Sita Ram Tiwari, popularly known as Azad born on 23 July 1906, at Badarka village in Unnao Distt. of UP and died in a fight against Britishers on 27 February 1931 in the age of 24 at Company Garden/Alfred Bagh of Allahabad city of Uttar Pradesh, is one of the most important and leading Indian revolutionaries, who reorganised the Hindustan Republican Association after the assassination of its founder PanditRam Prasad Bismil and three other party pillars (Thakur Roshan Singh, Rajendra Nath Lahiri and Ashfaqulla Khan) with the support of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Bhagwati Charan Vohra under the new name of Hindustan Socialist Republican Association.He was the mentor of Bhagat Singh and chief strategy maker of Hindustan Socialist Republican Association .
